Moon Bar at Banyan Tree, Bangkok, Thailand
The Moon Bar is located a dizzying 61 floors up on the top of the Banyan Tree Hotel. The building is custom built and the platform shaped like a bow of a ship. The hotel is designed with a subtle mix of Thai and modern design embellishments. Surrounded by the glow of the city, the Moon Bar has one of the best views a hotel in Thailand has to offer. Right beside the Moon Bar is Vertigo, which is the hotel’s aptly named restaurant. For food, expect surf & turf and drinks, high-end spirits and cocktails.
Sevva, Central, Hong Kong
Sevva is an ambient, mood-lit penthouse bar owned by HK socialite and style icon, Bonnie Gokson. Located on the 25th floor of the Prince’s Building, Sevva overlooks the best sights of the city with a 360-degree balcony. The decor is described as vogue-like, lavish and East-meets-West. Artwork from London’s Fine Art Gallery is displayed for guests to enjoy while they sip on bespoke cocktails and nibble on cakes from Gokson’s other venture, Ms B’s Bakery.
Aviary, Finsbury Square, London
The Aviary in London is right up our street! The tropical print and Miami vibe is where it’s at and the Aviary does it well. A popular spot for after-work drinks, the bar is based ten floors up on the Montcalm Hotel and offers up London’s beautiful skyline for all to see. If you’re feeling peckish, head inside to the adjoining restaurant which features geometric-patterned furniture
Some other rooftop bars have some outside plant features such as indoor living walls UK, which present a decadent wall filled with fresh, beautiful plants, which gives you that very relaxing feeling that is perfect for spending time with your friends or partners in an amazing rooftop bar.
Gallow Green, Mckittrick Hotel, New York
The Marker, Dublin
And finally not forgetting one of our own local favourites. While it is rare, Ireland does occasionally get good weather and The Marker rooftop bar is the place to hit. Located in Dublin’s docklands, the entire city is laid out for guests to soak in. Comfy lounge chairs and bean bags makes this bar one of the coolest chill out spots in Dublin’s fair city. You can get to the bar by foot or by using a dublin bus.
